As the NBA season reaches it's final months, the questions of Derrick Rose playing this season are still up in the air.  When Derrick Rose tore his acl many Chicago Bulls fans have greatly anticipated his return to the Bulls lineup.  Many local sports radio host are on the fence about the return of Derrick Rose this season siting that the team may not be able to defeat the Miami Heat in a seven game series this season.  While my heart is on both sides of the fence on the issue so I decided to weigh this situation for my Black Hole members for some of your feedback.

Why Derrick Rose should come back this season

As a life long Chicago Bulls fan gives me great joy as well as pain to watch this seasons Bulls team.  The Bulls fought most of last season to the top of the NBA once again only to have their hard work blowup with playoff injuries to Rose and Noah and finished last season with a first round playoff exit at the hands of the 76ers.  This season the Bulls have struggled to be consistent game in and game out without Rose in the lineup.  The one thing that you have to admire about this Chicago Bulls team is their fight.  They have started most games with their third string PG, Rip Hamilton plays maybe twice a month, Noah and Deng are playing through multiple injuries.  With all of that said this team has worked their butts off to keep this team in the playoff race(fourth seed in the east) with the impression that with the return of Rose, this team could compete for a championship.  It's hard for a team who is all in to give it their full 100%, play through injuries, and stay focused when your most important piece won't come to their aid.  With each game that goes by some in the city feels that Derrick is losing more and more respect from the fans.  Our only wish is that Rose can help out a team that is out gunned against some of the top teams in the league.  It's like watching the movie 300, even the strongest soldiers can only hold on for so long.

Why Derrick should wait until next year

When you look at this years Bulls team you will see that there are allot of new faces.  The bench has been revamped, once again there is no shooting guard to complement Derrick, and no one knows how that knee will handle the minutes that will need to played in the playoffs.  Would you take a chance of playing your franchise player coming off of major knee surgery 30-40 min. a game for a 10% chance of winning a championship.  Knowing that your head coach has a history of playing his best players heavy minutes night in and night out would you take that chance.
